Host the annual meeting
If you are interested in hosting a future OSSD Annual meeting please submit a completed proposal using our online proposal submission form. For an example of the statistics we use, please see our venue request for proposal template.
Proposals should include the following information:
- Names of the members of the local organizing committee
- A description of a possible venue (Hotel, University, conference center) plus a proposal from the venue in question indicating the availability of space, room rental costs, sleeping room rates, a food and beverage minimum requirements
- Quotes from other local vendors (audiovisual, poster board rental, etc)
- A list of potential partners (academic and research institutions that may co-sponsor or help partially underwrite the meeting)
- Ease of travel and estimated costs for participants
- List other potential sources of funding/sponsorship
- Brief description of the advertising plan
