NEW INVESTIGATOR TRAVEL AWARDS
OSSD has extended it's application deadline to April 9, 2010 to apply for a 2010 New Investigator Travel Award.
The Organization for the Study of Sex Differences awards 5 new investigator awards of $500 each to defray the costs of attending the Fourth Annual Meeting. The award includes a complimentary meeting registration. New Investigators are graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and residents. The sponsoring mentor must be an OSSD member in good standing. Applicants must be OSSD members in good standing to be considered for this award.
Awardees are required to present a poster at the annual meeting.
To apply, please submit the following to webmaster@ossdweb.org:
- a letter of sponsorship from your mentor
- a brief, NEW NIH-style, biographical sketch (this new format includes a personal statement - we realize that other sections of the biosketch may not apply to all applicants)

- an abstract on your research any topic involving sex differences (see abstract submission guidelines)
- a description of your contribution to the research described in your abstract*
- a description of your career goals*
*The last two items should not exceed one page total.
Awardees will be chosen on the basis of the merit of the research and potential of the applicant.
