Research Interests/Grant support:
Research interests: My research focuses on how steroid hormones mediated sex differences in the developing brain with an emphasis on the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which this occurs. We are funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health because of the enormous gender bias in psychiatric disorders, and by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke due to effect of sex on vulnerability to and consequences of brain damage and neurodegenerative disease.
