About Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor (www.annarbor.org, www.annarbor.com) is conveniently located only 25 minutes away from Detroit Metropolitan International Airport (DTW). DTW is a Northwest/Delta Airlines hub with direct flights to and from Europe, Asia and throughout the US. Ann Arbor is home to the University of Michigan, and the 2010 meeting of OSSD will be held on the University of Michigan campus. There are comfortable hotel rooms or affordable student housing within walking distance of the conference site. More travel information will be made available as we get closer to the meeting.

The city of Ann Arbor is small enough to bike across in an afternoon yet diverse enough to attract top performing artists from throughout the world and support a host of gourmet restaurants. Ann Arbor offers all of the advantages of big city living—museums, live theatre, expansive parks, extensive shopping and a diverse population—all combining for a very cosmopolitan atmosphere.<</p>

The annual meeting will facilitate an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas by providing investigators from various fields a unique opportunity to share their latest findings and hypotheses about sex differences. The interdisciplinary meeting will bring together researchers who share an interest in sex differences and who are unlikely to meet at other scientific conferences and meetings.

Weather

The days are pleasant and the nights are cool with temperatures for the month of June ranging from an average high of 72 degrees Fahrenheit to an average low of 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Remember these are averages, so the temperatures for June may be warmer or cooler by 10 degrees or so. Be sure to bring clothes for all occasions. The motto in Michigan is, "If you don't like the weather in Michigan, just wait a few hours it will change!"
