Mind the Gap: Menopause, Cognitive function, and Brain atrophy


 

Rhonda R. Voskuhl, M.D. is the current OSSD President. She is a Professor of Neurology, holds the Jack H. Skirball Chair in Multiple Sclerosis Research and is the Director of the MS Program at UCLA.  She is an internationally recognized expert in sex differences research, demonstrating neuroprotective effects of estrogen and testosterone treatment, as well as sex chromosome effects, in preclinical models.  Her translational research is based on clinical observations in patients, from disentangling mechanisms in preclinical models to designing clinical trials of new treatments in a “Bedside to Bench to Bedside” approach, with the goal of understanding neuroimmune mechanisms that can lead to new treatments.

 


Presentation will be held at 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. EST via Zoom Meeting.
